The field of cardiology has expanded tremendously in recent years to meet the needs of patients suffering from the various forms of heart disease.  As a result, West Georgia Cardiology provides the latest diagnostic tools to assess patients’ heart conditions, along with the techniques and treatments for patients diagnosed with heart disease.

Based on a philosophy that the time spent outside of the office and the hospital is just as important, each year the practice sponsors a cardiac-related essay contest for area high school students in which the winners receive a scholarship.  Students are encouraged to participate in the contest by writing essays about heart disease prevention.  West Georgia Cardiology believes that prevention of heart disease begins at a young age, and the contest is a way to remind young people about what they can do to protect themselves from this deadly disease.

Our practice physicians participate in numerous speaking engagements to local civic and church groups.  They also sponsor events that support research, education, and detection of heart disease.  These community educational presentations provide audiences with valuable information about the signs and symptoms of cardiovascular disease as well as the latest available treat options.
